Why Write a Blog?

Published:

Why did I start a blog?

Well, to start with everyone seems to do it and I felt that I was missing out. But there is more to it than that, I wanted to create a space where I could share my thoughts, experiences, and insights on cloud architecture and software development.

On top of that I wanted to create a digital portfolio that I could use to showcase my projects and contributions to the tech community. I also wanted to give back to the developer and cloud communities by sharing my knowledge and experiences.

A lot of the time we in the technical industry spend so much time working on projects it’s really easy to forget to take a step back and look at what we have achieved. Whether that is completing a large scale project, or just solving that tricy problem that had you headbutting the desk for a day. Writing a blob allows me, and honestly forces me to take the step back and reflect.

Sometimes it might just be a short post to try and document an issue that has driven me round the bend for a day or two, or it might be a longer post that goes into more detail about a project I have been working on. Either way, I hope that by sharing my experiences and insights, I can help others in the community.
